Abode Design + Build is jointly owned and operated by Stephen Tordeich and Patrick Preisig.

A professional collaboration of partners building quality residential homes.

Stephen established the business in 2011 after having spent years in the building, finance and manufacturing industries.

​

Stephen has a bachelors degree in Engineering. He has a strong background in finance and manufacturing. He has previously successfully managed his family's manufacturing business,  which is still trading. He also has a MBA degree. Prior to starting the business, Stephen spent many years  renovating houses in Central Auckland. It was this love of design and the building industry that guided him to look for a business associated with building and design as a career direction.

Patrick is a Licensed Building Practitioner who has built some of the most prestigious homes over his 30 years in the building industry. He is renowned at finding workable solutions that not only amaze clients but also satisfy council and associated building regulations.

Patrick has adept experience in rural properties, urban housing, city apartments and remove and rebuilds. His knowledge and expertise is widely known in the industry and he is frequently called upon for advice from contractors.
